G20 leaders meet in Cannes this Autumn. Ending tax haven secrecy should be top of their agenda:

While I applaud the sentiment of much of this video, I can't agree with the opening claim that "foreign aid isn't working". We should avoid setting up a "tax versus aid" debate, when the two are complementary. Tax justice offers a long-term route for developing countries to end their dependence on aid, but in the short to medium term it is and will remain both effective (with exceptions, of course) and essential - not least to support the development of capacity in developing countries' revenue authorities.
