Closing the gap: new report

A coalition of 16 Catholic development agencies in Europe and North America has just published a new policy paper looking at the impact of tax havens and tax competition on developing countries.

Judging by the statements emerging from the Vatican, it's clear that our agenda is widely supported within the Catholic Church. It's heartening to see so much material now being published on these issues - even just a few months ago, tax justice had a much lower profile than it does today. And it's still growing fast.

The paper, published by the CIDSE coalition is entitled "Closing the gap: Addressing imbalances in global finance." It's rich and varied, and full of new material and analysis: well worth reading.
